Chemical Properties Light Yellow Powder
General Description Odorless yellowish microscopic needles or cream-colored powder. pH approximately 4.3 at 30 g/L water (suspension).
Air & Water Reactions Insoluble in water.
Reactivity Profile 4,4'-Diamino-2,2'-stilbenedisulfonic acid is incompatible with iron. 4,4'-Diamino-2,2'-stilbenedisulfonic acid forms sparingly water-soluble, crystalline salts with many bisquaternary ammonium bases.
Fire Hazard Flash point data for 4,4'-Diamino-2,2'-stilbenedisulfonic acid are not available; however, 4,4'-Diamino-2,2'-stilbenedisulfonic acid is probably combustible.
