Reactivity Profile NICKEL(II) FORMATE is a crystalline material, mildly toxic and carcinogenic. Combustible when exposed to heat or flame. When heated to decomposition NICKEL(II) FORMATE emits toxic fumes of oxides of nickel [M. K.].
Health Hazard Inhalation of dust causes irritation of nose and throat. Ingestion causes vomiting. Dust irritates eyes and may cause dermatitis in contact with skin.
Fire Hazard Special Hazards of Combustion Products: Irritating formic acid vapors may form in fire.
